INDEFINITE PRONOUNS (határozatlan névmások)

SOMEBODY, SOMEONE = valaki

1) Kijelentő, állító mondatokban használható. (Kérdő és tagadó mondatokban helyette az ”anybody/anyone” névmás szerepel!)

2) Ha alanyként szerepel, egyes számú az állítmány mellette.

SOMETHING = valami

1) Kijelentő, állító mondatokban használható. (Kérdő és tagadó mondatokban helyette az ”anything” névmás szerepel!)

2) Ha alanyként szerepel, egyes számú az állítmány mellette.

pl.

There is something in my bag. (Van valami a táskámban.)

I saw something interesting yesterday. (Láttam tegnap valami érdekeset.)

FONTOS!

• A some és az ezzel formált névmásokat kérdésekben is használjuk, olyankor, ha

• már sejtjük a választ,

• vagy pedig nem valós kérdésekben (meghívások, felkérések stb). A személy, aki ezeket a kérdéseket felteszi, egy "yes" válaszra számít.

• Are you going somewhere?

• Would you like to go somewhere this weekend? = meghívás

• Could somebody help me, please? = kérés

ANYBODY, ANYONE

1) Ha alanyként szerepel, egyes számú az állítmány mellette.

2) Az ”anyone” kissé formálisabb.

3) Használható :

KÉRDŐ mondatban: 

jelentése: valaki

pl. Is there anybody in the room? (Van valaki a szobában?)

TAGADÓ mondatban:

jelentése: senki pl. There isn’t anybody in the room. (Nincs senki a szobában.)

KIJELENTŐ, ÁLLÍTÓ mondatban:

 jelentése: bárki, akárki pl. Anyone / Anybody can come to the party. (Bárki eljöhet a bulira.)

ANYTHING

1) Ha alanyként szerepel, egyes számú az állítmány mellette.

2) Használható kijelentő, állító mondatban és kérdő illetve tagadó mondatokban is

KÉRDŐ mondatban: jelentése: valami

pl. Is there anything in the garden? (Van valami a kertben?)

TAGADÓ mondatban: jelentése: semmi pl. There isn’t anything in the garden. (Nincs semmi a kertben.) 

KIJELENTŐ, ÁLLÍTÓ mondatban: jelentése: bármi, akármi

pl. Anything can happen. (Bármi megtörténhet.) 

FIGYELEM!

Ahol a kijelentő, állító mondatban ”somebody/someone”szerepel, az ”anybody/anyone” váltja fel a kérdő és a tagadó mondatban.

pl.

- There is somebody in the room. (Van valaki a szobában.) – kijelentő, állító

- Is there anybody in the room? (Van valaki a szobában?) – kérdő

- There isn’t anybody in the room. (Nincs senki a szobában.) – tagadó

EVERYBODY, EVERYONE

• jelentése:  mindenki

• Mindig egyes számú az állítmány mellette.

• Az ”everyone” kissé formálisabb. pl. Everyone / Everybody has arrived. (Mindenki megérkezett.)

EVERYTHING

• jelentése:= minden (dolog)

•  Mindig egyes számú az állítmány mellette. pl. Everything is on the shelf. (Minden a polcon van.)

NOBODY, NO-ONE

• jelentése: senki

• A tagadáskor szereplő ”anybody/anyone” alternatívája.

• ● Az állítmány ilyenkor nem tagadó! pl. There isn’t anybody in the room. → There is nobody in the room. (Nincs senki a szobában.

NOTHING

• jelentése: semmi

• A tagadáskor szereplő ”anything” alternatívája.

• Az állítmány ilyenkor nem tagadó! pl. There isn’t anything in the room. → There is nothing in the room. (Nincs semmi a szobában.
