Purpose

Your answer to the last question explained your purpose--the "why" of what you're doing in broad terms.

A unit plan's purpose does the same thing for your unit.

Open Ended

As a teacher, what are some of your goals? What do you want to see your students doing?

Goals & Outcomes

Your answers explained the "what" of your teaching--what goals you hope to achieve in order to fulfill your purpose.

The unit plan's goals similarly fulfill the plan's purpose, and the outcomes state more explicitly what your students will have done or produced by the unit's conclusion.

Note that these two elements are still pretty broad.

Objectives

Objectives are clear, specific, and measurable. Meeting objectives is how you achieve your goals and fulfill your purpose.

In a unit plan, objectives always begin with "By (some time period), students will be able to___."
