WHAT IS APPLICATION LETTER?

Application letter atau yang akrab disebut surat lamaran kerja merupakan salah satu dokumen yang diperlukan untuk melamar pekerjaan. Dikutip dari laman resmi Kemendikbud, surat lamaran pekerjaan adalah surat yang berisi permohonan untuk bekerja di suatu lembaga, perusahaan, atau perseroan terbatas (PT) yang pada umumnya memiliki bagian-bagian berisi identitas diri, jasa yang dapat dilakukan, pendidikan, hingga keterangan keahlian, dan pengalaman.

Sistematika Penulisan Application Letter:

• Hal dan Lampiran

  Bagian hal dan lampiran dapat kamu letakkan di sebelah kiri. Bagian hal diisikan dengan "Application for Employment". Kemudian, bagian lampiran dapat diisi dengan jumlah dokumen yang hendak kamu lampirkan.

• Tujuan dan Alamat Surat

  Setelah menulis lampiran, kamu harus menuliskan tujuan surat, yakni nama penerima surat dan alamat surat. Biasanya, penerima surat tidak disertai dengan "Bapak atau Ibu" melainkan jabatan terkait. Alamat surat sebaiknya tidak ditulis lebih dari tiga baris dan tidak menggunakan titik.

• Salam Pembuka

  Sebelum menuliskan isi, kamu harus menyertakan salam pembuka terlebih dahulu. Salam yang umum digunakan adalah “Dear Sir/Madam,”. Pastikan untuk menambahkan koma setelah salam pembuka.

• Alinea Pembuka

  Kamu dapat menjabarkan sumber informasi lowongan yang hendak dilamar pada alinea pembuka. Pastikan untuk menggunakan bahasa formal yang sopan agar tidak menyinggung perekrut.

Sistematika Penulisan Application Letter:

• Isi

  agian isi terbagi menjadi tiga bagian, yaitu identitas, maksud lamaran, dan berkas.

  1. Identitas: data diri seperti nama, tempat tanggal lahir, alamat, pendidikan terakhir, kontak dan lainnya.

  2. Isi: menjelaskan alasan kamu melamar pekerjaan di

  tempat tersebut dan juga bisa menjabarkan kemampuan dan kelebihan yang dimiliki sesuai dengan lowongan kerja yang dilamar.

  3. Berkas: menuliskan berkas yang

  dilampirkan, seperti CV, ijazah, fotokopi KTP, sertifikat, SKCK, dan sebagainya.
