2

Ecosystem Organization

This is how an ecosystem is organized into smaller portions.

3

Biotic

All the living species in an ecosystem: includes plants, animals, protists, and bacteria.

Abiotic

All the "never alive" components of an ecosystem. Examples: wind, soil, & water

Parts of an ecosystem.

4

Species

A group of organisms that can successfully interbreed with one another and produce fertile offspring.

5

Population

This is all the members of species located in a specific geographic region at a specific time.

media

6

Community

This is all the populations of all species of living things that inhabit a given area. The term also is used to mean a collection of populations in a given area that could potentially interact with each other. The interactions could be predator-prey or competition for habitat.

This includes plants, animals, fungi, bacteria, and protists.

7

Ecosystem

A system that includes all living organisms in an area as well as its physical environment functioning together as a unit.

8

Biome

This is the largest terrestrial region on the Earth that have similar climates and giving way to similar vegetative formations

           There are 6 major Biomes:

                    Tundra

                    Taiga

                    Temperate Deciduous

                    Temperate Grassland

                    Desert

                    Tropical Rainforest

9

Biosphere

This is an interactive collection of all the Earth's biomes. This is the poriton of the Earth that supports life.
