Mass Number vs. Average Atomic Mass

We will cover this more in our lesson tomorrow

Basically:   Average Atomic Mass looks at all the variations of an atom known as isotopes and averages their masses based on how abundant they are here on earth.

The periodic table shows a decimal number for Average Atomic Mass because it is an average

The mass of an atom is made up of protons & neutrons, so we can use this number (rounded to a whole number) to calculate protons and neutrons
