Finding patterns is an important problem-solving skill used in mathematics. You will use the patterns in Diamond Problems to solve other problems later in the course. Can you discover a pattern for the numbers in each of the four diamonds ?

​Each of the diamonds follow a specific pattern...

  • ​numbers left and right are "anchor numbers"

  • ​Ad left and right to get the bottom number

  • ​multiply left and right to get the top number

  • ​2+8=10, and 2x8=16
