​Why do people form alliances?

• ​When people form alliances, they come together to help each other to get something that they both want or need.

Tell about a time when you formed an alliance with someone. Why did you form an alliance?

​Adversity

• ​A lack of rain ruins the farmer's crop and brings adversity to farmers.

• ​Covid-19 has caused Bangkok to be in lockdown for more than a month and brings adversity to many people because they can not earn money.

• ​The two countries agreed to form an alliance to reach their common goals.

• ​My friend and I formed an alliance to help each other with homework. I would do the English homework, and he would do the Math homework.

• ​They felt a feeling of confinement inside the tiny tree house.

• ​Quarantine is a type of confinement that helps stop the spread of COVID-19.

• ​The hurricane inflicted damage in many towns.

• ​COVID-19 causes us to be inflicted with symptoms such as trouble breathing.

• ​My parents like to reminisce about what life was like in the 1990s.

• ​To get through this confinement we like to reminisce what life was like before COVID.

• ​We had a rule in our class of no eating snacks in the room, so we tried to smuggle the snacks in without the teacher seeing it.
