Aquaponics discussion/review

Aquaponics combines fish farming and hydroponics. The fish provide nitrogen and organic wastes that fertilize the growing plants, while the plants filter the water for the fish.

How is aquaponics a sustainable solution?

-it reuses waste water that is polluted as the fish discharge waste. The waste is providing food/nutrients for the plants, and in turn the plants clean the water the fish live in. This includes the nitrogen cycle as well as cellular respiration and photosynthesis occuring throughout.
