CONNECTING SKILL ANNOTATING AND SOURCING
When historians read sources they try to figure out what the source is saying. If it is reliable, and how it relates
to other sources and events that historians know about. To do this, they engage in three practices that you are going to learn:
Annotation is the act of using symbols and notes to show what you are thinking while you read. When you annotate, you interact with the source by underlining sections of the text, circling words, phrases, or images, and writing notes to yourself in the margins.

Governor Andrew Cuomo HERO or VILLAIN?
Governor Cuomo in Context: From the onset of the Coronavirus lockdown on March 15th 2020 Governor Andrew Cuomo has routinely held press briefings to update the public regarding the fight to end pandemic. In some circles he is viewed as a hero who is constantly working to safeguard the lives of New Yorkers.
However on August 3, 2021 he was accused of behaving and acting inappropriately towards women in his staff while serving as the governor of New York. Then on August 10, 2021 he declared that due to the “distractions” of the accusations against him he was going to resign from office by the end of the month.
After reading the text you have to decide what you think the title of the text should be.
