What is a Literary Analysis?

A literary analysis carefully examines a text, or one element of a text, such as character, setting, plot, or theme of a story.

This week and next week, you will write a literary analysis to describe how a common theme is conveyed through the events of two different passages.

But first, let's take a look at an example.
