​Prepositions/ preposiciones

​Las preposiciones en ingles nos indican en donde se encuentra algo en lugar y en tiempo. Por lo que se llaman de tal forma a lo que describen, preposiciones de lugar y preposiciones de tiempo. En esta ocasion veremos las preposiciones de lugar.

​Preposiciones de lugar

​Muchos lugares tienen una preposición que se debe colocar antes del lugar que se describe. Si se utiliza la preposición incorrecta puede cambiar el significado de la oración sobre en donde se encuentra.

​By the: junto al/el/las/los                            On the: en la/el/las/los            On a/an: en un/una                                 Off the: fuera de la/el/las/los

​North: Norte                                       South: Sur

​Northeast: Noroeste                          Southwest: Suroeste

​East: este                                            West: oeste

​Southeast: sureste                             Northwest: Noroeste

Opposite: opuesto                              around: alrededor

Carla: I’m from Tasmania. It’s a beautiful island off

the south coast of Australia.

​There is/ There are

​Este verbo compuesto por there mas el verbo to be significa haber(hay). Sin el verbo to be el there solo significa ahí o allá. Se ocupa el verbo to be is si lo que estamos describiendo es singular y el are si es plural.

​Si es singular el there is debe ir seguido por a/an. Si es plural no debemos colocar el a/an ya que este significa un/una. Por lo que ocupariamos un numero o some(algunos o varios).

​Para negar

​Se requiere del not, este va después del verbo tobe se puede contraer. Cuando se niega en forma plural se le agrega el any después del not.

​otras formas de negar

​Any es igual a decir ninguno, solo se puede utilizar en oraciones negativas o en preguntas cuando estamos casi seguros que no hay. Cuando ocupamos el no, se omite el not. Y solo se puede utilizar el no con la forma plural. Este lo reemplaza y no se puede contraer con el verbo to be.
