​Origin

The Norse Gods are the mythological characters from stories shared by Northern Germanic tribes of the 9th century AD.​These stories were passed down in the form of poetry until the 11th – 18th centuries when the Eddas and other medieval texts were written. Today there are between 500 and 1000 people in Denmark who believe in the old Nordic religion and worship its ancient gods

​The emergence of gods

​First there were two planets which were Muspellheim,the fire planet and Nilfheim,the ice planet between the was Ginnungagap in which the fire and ice met created water and created life it created the giant Ymir and his cow Auoumbla slowly created many gods including Bor who had 3 children Odin ,Ve and Villi .They seeked for life on planets that were forming and they came to earth they found 2 logs of wood side by side Ve gave the logs shape of humans and as did Villi and Odin breathed life into them hence that day he became All-Father

​Yggdrasil

​Yggdrasil is the world tree it houses the nine realms which are:-

​Asgard: Where the Aesir gods live like loki and thor

Midgard (Earth):Where we live

Niflheim:Land of Ice

Svartalfheim:Where the dark elves live

Muspelheim:land of fire where surtur the destroyer of asgard lives

Vanaheim:where the Vanir gods live

Valhalla/Hel:Where the dead live under the leadership of hel

Nidavellir:Where the crafting elves live

Jotunheim :Where frost giants live loki odinson is also a frost giant adopted by Odin. Odin transfused his blood with loki to make him a half frost giant half god.

​One morning when Thor woke up he saw his wife's golden hair gone he just knew this was done by Loki he threatened him that if he does not bring back Sif's hair he will break every bone in his body .So, Loki goes to Nidavellir organises a contest between two dwarf groups the sons of Ivaldi and Brokk and Eitri and told the sons of Ivaldi to make magical golden hair that can be put onto someone. After they made everything their treasures were presented to Thor,Odin and Frey .

​Skidbladnir:a piece of cloth that would unfold into a mighty ship

​Gullin-börsti:A gold covered boar that could pull a chariot in the sky faster than anythinng (for freyr)

​Draupnir :A gold arm ring for Odin that every ninth night would produce 8 arm rings made of pure gold

​Mjolnir:A hammer for thor that would never break,miss and always come back to him but it had one flaw it had a short handle
