​The Expression of Intention

​* Intention adalah sebuah tujuan atau visi yang menuntun aktivitas, pikiran, sikap dan pilihan.

​

​* expressing intention memiliki arti yaitu mengungkapkan maksud, harapan atau niat.

​

​* Ekspresi ini termasuk sebuah ungkapan yang belum pernah terjadi karena ungkapan ini masih berbentuk dalam sebuah rencana atau harapan.

​The pattern of intention

• be going to + simple verb

• ​will + simple verb

• ​intend to + simple verb

• ​would like to + simple verb

​* Be going to + Simple Verb *

​Example:

1. I am going to my friend’s house tonight  (Aku akan pergi ke rumah temanku malam ini)

3. The United State Circus is going to be perform in New York tomorrow  (Sirkus Amerika Serikat akan tampil di New York besok)

4. Are you going to join me in a music contest? (Apakah kamu akan bergabung dengan ku dalam kontes musik?)

5. What are you going to do this weekend?  (Apa yang akan kamu lakukan pada akhir pekan ini?)

​Example:

1. I will make my birthday cake at home (aku akan membuat kue ulang tahun ku di rumah)

2. We will celebrate our first anniversary by going to the beach (Kami akan merayakan hari jadi kami yang pertama dengan pergi ke pantai)

3. Will you attend his birthday party tonight? (Apakah kamu akan menghadiri pesta ulang tahunnya malam ini?)

4. Will you marry me? (Maukah kau menikah dengan ku?)

​Example:

1. I intend to visit my grandmother this week (Aku berniat mengunjungi nenek ku minggu ini)

2. He does not intend to continue his studies (Dia tidak berniat untuk melanjutkan studinya)

3. Do you intend to return home next year? (Apakah kamu berniat untuk pulang ke rumah tahun depan?)

4. Do you intend to transfer the property to your daughter? (Apakah kamu berniat untuk mentransfer properti kepada anak perempuanmu?)

​* would like to + simple verb*

1. I would like to present my science project at this moment (Aku ingin mempresentasikan proyek sains ku saat ini)

2. I would like to get a ticket for tomorrow (Aku ingin membeli tiket untuk besok)

3. Would you like to discuss the recycling project tomorrow at 7 p.m? (Apakah kamu ingin mendiskusikan proyek daur ulan besok jam 7 malam?)

4. Would you like to come with me? (Apakah kamu ingin ikut dengan ku?)
