How Quizizz Works
Create lessons and quizzes on your own, OR choose from a library of pre-made gamified quizzes, interactive lessons, all sorted into courses
Lessons and quizzes can be completed in the classroom or during at-home learning (LIVE or HOMEWORK)
Quizzes can be student paced, so they work through questions without a timer rushing them - although there is points for speed
Add interactive video or audio to your lessons and quizzes, as well as add answer explanations to reinforce at-home learning
Questions can be read aloud to students (turn on in settings)
5
BENEFITS - Teacher
No grading required - results are instant
See which questions gave students troubles and which ones were easy
You have the ability to create quizzes on your own or mix and match pre-created material with your own questions
Question order is randomized for each student, making cheating more difficult
Great for remote learning - asynchronous concept checks - study tools
Could be used to flip the classroom
6
BENEFITS - Students
Students are able to see their results instantly, reviewing the questions that they got correct and incorrect, as well as time spent on each question
Students can re-attempt questions on quizzes that they got wrong to improve scores and reinforce learning
Participants see the questions or lesson right on their device - don't need to look at big screen in the classroom
Quizzes are fun with "Power-Up" tools, memes between questions
Students don't need to create an account - can join quizzes and lessons with a code
7
Potential Drawbacks
As with some other digital assessment tools, questions are mostly limited to multiple choice or poll questions, which limits assessment
This tool can be seen by some as more of a review/preview tool, rather than actual assessment
Should you, as the teacher, want to keep students anonymous, then you don't know who got questions right or wrong, just the group as a whole
8
COST
Free for all, but there is a SUPER! add-on for $10 US Monthly with these added features
