Rule: Remember, forget, regret
1) Remember + gerund means thinking of past experience you've had.
2) Remember + to infinitive means don't forget to do something.
3) Forget + gerund means to no longer think of something that you did.
4) Forget + to infinitive means to not think of doing something you should do or should have done.
5) Regret + gerund means feeling sorry about something you said or did in the past.
6) Regret + to infinitive means feeling sorry about something you are going to say or do next / in the future.

Infinitives
An infinitive is a verbal consisting of to + a verb, and it acts like a subject, direct object, subject complement, adjective, or adverb in a sentence.
For example, 'She went to play football.'
To identify an infinitive, just search for the to+verb form of the verb.

7) Try + infinitive means try hard to see if you can do something that is really not easy.
8) Try + gerund means do it and see what the results are.
9) Stop + gerund means to not continue doing a certain activity or action.

Gerunds are verbals that function as nouns and have an –ing ending.
For example, 'Walking helps clear my mind'.
To identify a gerund, search for a word that looks like a verb, and is in the -ing form but doesn't actually act as a verb.

Past Participle
The past participles of all regular verbs end in -ed. Irregular verbs, however, have various past participle endings – for instance, thrown, ridden, built, and gone.
