The first thing to write is your address,

i.e. the address of the writer

The greeting usually starts with ‘Dear’ and is followed by the person’s name and then a comma.

Body of the Letter

The letter overall should maintain a friendly tone. With a friend, you can afford to be very casual and flippant even. But if you are writing to an elder relative, you must be extremely respectful and considerate.

When you are finished writing your letter, end with a closing,

such as:
