for America.

There was one great battle (after the war was over!) that America won.
The Battle of New Orleans

The War of 1812 and Battle of New Orleans were important because.
It turned Andrew Jackson into a national hero and Icon.
It created a stronger sense of national unity
It forced American Industry to expand and produce more goods
Brought the Idea of National Bank back into poltical discussion.

The Era of Good Feelings.
James Morone Was elected president, and he formed the Monroe Doctrine.
The Monroe Doctrine was made to prevent further colonization of the Americas by European Powers.
American Industry exapanded even further....mostly in the North while Agriculure expanded in the South.
The Federalist Party had mostly died away leaving the Democratic Republicans ruling.

And here is where we come to a flashpoint...
In 1824 Andrew Jackson ran against John Quincy Adams (son of John Adams) and the decison came down to the House of Representatives, who chose John Quicny Adams...
Andrew Jackson claimed that Henry Clay (A name to remember!) who was speaker of the house was in cahoots with JQ Adams, this wasn't helped when JQ Adams made Clay his Secretay of State!

And here we are...
The year is 1828 and Andrew Jackson is about to try again to run for president, he is going to campgain hard and in doing so split the Democratic Republican Party in two and challange the rich and mighty in America.
The Years he spends in Office as President of The United States of America will change the face of America forever, in good and bad ways.
