​TV sets as we know them today were not always like this. In early 1800, a mechanical TV was invented by a Scottish inventor John Logie Baird and an American inventor Charles Francis Jenkins. The early efforts by Boris Rosing (Russian) and A.A. Campbell-Swinton (English) in 1907 lead to the world’s first electrical television a few years later.
