How to use the verb gustar:
To talk about likes and dislike, use the verb gustar.
Use the words me, te, le, nos, or les before the singular gusta to say what someone likes referring to infinitive verb(s) or a singular noun.
Use the same me, te, le, nos, or les before gustan when referring to a plural noun.
Infinitive verbs are the original / base form of the verb. (-ar, -er, -ir ending)
singular is 1 (one) and Plural is more than 1 (2 or more)

The words before gustar, me, te, le, nos, and les are called indirect object pronouns.
Direct translation of ¨A mi me gusta el libro¨ is ¨the book is pleasing to me¨.
We need to use indirect object pronouns for the verb gustar when we talk about the things we like to do /have.
