El condicional - regular e irregular
(AKA - what we "would" do).
2
OK, so you've mastered the future tense (well...sort of!). To recap:
It's how we represent "Will" do something in Spanish.
We use the WHOLE verb plus a set of endings.
There are 11 base irregulars that have to be memorized.
ACCENT MARKS are essential!
3
The CONDITIONAL tense is almost the same:
We use one set of endings (to follow).
It uses the WHOLE infinitive
The irregulars are - wait for it - THE SAME as the future!
Accent marks are once again essential.
4
So what's different about the conditional tense?
Hint: It doesn't mean "will".....
5
For the conditional tense, it's our way of expressing what we "WOULD" do.
6
The following slide shows the endings for the conditional tense. Note that it is the same idea as the future - the WHOLE infinitive, plus endings.
**Only this time - the endings are all ía based

8
REMEMBER: YOUR IRREGULARS ARE THE SAME AS FOR THE FUTURE TENSE:
