These are new words we will use in poetry:

  • rhyme: when a word, syllable, or line end with the same sound

  • rhyme scheme: the pattern of rhyme a poems uses, usually noted by using letters (aabc, aabb, abcabc,)​

  • ​stanza: similar to a paragraph in prose

  • lines:​ similar to a sentence in prose
