Other Examples:

3 x 2 is the same as 2 x 3

5 x 10 is the same as 10 x 5

67 x 9 = 9 x 67

If the numbers just switch sides of the multiplication sign, its commutative!!

9

Other Examples:

(3 x 2) x 8 is the same as 2 x (3 x 8)

(5 x 10) x 2 is the same as 10 x (5 x 2)

If the numbers are the same but the 'grouping' of parentheses changes, it is associative!

Other Examples:

100 x 1 = 100

87 x 1 = 87

Any number multiplied by 1, is the same number! It shows the number's identity!!

13

Zero Property of Multiplication

Anything multiplied by zero, is zero!

Examples:

5 x 0 = 0

1,234,567 x 0 = 0

16

Multiple Choice

The commutative property of multiplication states that the order of the numbers in an equation:
1
Should go from least to greatest
2
Doesn't change the product
3
Should go from greatest to least
4
Is always important

17
