​Verbs in Spanish end in -ar, -er, or -ir. A verb that doesn't have a subject attached (to run, to walk, to sing, etc.) is called an infinitive in Spanish.

What do you like...

gusta and gustan are used to talk about what we like or don't like.

gusta and gustan are based on 'what is being liked' or 'what is not liked' it is NOT based on the number of people liking something!

for example, if I like bananas I would use gustan and not gusta because I like something that's plural!

But, If they like art class, we would use gusta because what they like is singular​, even though it's multiple people liking something!
