Sometimes when we are reading we don't know what a word means.

Just like a detective you have to use clues. Clues are words or phrases around the unknown word. The words help us understand the unknown word.​

Example: Mr. Fry is an affable principal. He knows everyone by name. If you have a problem, you can talk to him!
