​What is comparative degree?

​Comparative degree merupakan tingkat perbandingan antara dua hal dimana salah satunya bersifat 'lebih' terhadap pembandingnya.

Dalam kalimat Comparative degree, kita menggunakan kata sifat (adjectives)​ untuk menjelaskan sifat/karakteristik benda/hal yang dibandingkan.

1. Kalimat menggunakan one syllable adjectives

   S + is/am/are + Adj + -er + than + O

   Yosi is smarter than Yoko

2. Kalimat menggunakan more than one syllable adjective

   S + is/am/are + more + Adj + than + O

   example: Tina is more beautiful than Aris

3. ​Kalimat two syllable yang berakhiran -y

   S + is/am/are + Adj + -er + than + O

   Example: Lala is happier than Susi​

Comparative degree biasanya kita gunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari untuk membandingkan dua hal (benda, manusia, hewan, dll). Kata sifat memegang peran sangat penting dalam kalimat comparative degree.
