Axis of Symmetry (AoS)

Vertex Form: y=a(x-h)²+k

​Example:

​y=(x-4)²-3​

AoS: x=4

Vertex: (4, -3)​

Where is it?

Positive: opens up

Negative: opens down

Absolute value greater than 1: stretch (tall skinny)

Absolute value less than 1: shrink (short and wide)​

*Remember h is opposite of what is in the equation!!!
