​Future Tenses

​Er zijn 4 vier Future Tenses:

• Simple future tense.

• Future continuous tense.

• Future perfect tense.

• Future perfect continuous tense.​

De 'future continuous' verwijst naar een onvoltooide handeling of gebeurtenis die op een later tijdstip dan nu verder zal gaan. De 'future continuous' wordt gebruikt voor een behoorlijk aantal verschillende doelen. ​

Functie​

You will be staying.

You won't be staying.

Will you be staying?

Won't you be staying?

Future continuous

De 'future continuous' bestaat uit twee elementen: de toekomende tijd van het werkwoord 'to be' + (root verb + ing)

Will you have gone to bed when I get back?​

We gebruiken de voltooid toekomende tijd (zal/zal niet hebben + voltooid deelwoord) om te praten over iets dat voltooid zal zijn voor een bepaald tijdstip in de toekomst.​

Future perfect​

Voorbeeld will: I will help you cooking. It will rain later today.

Voorbeeld going to: He is going to visit his grandpa.​

Het is een tijd die iets later dan het nu beschrijft, dus in de toekomst.

Je gebruikt de will vorm wanneer je iets aanbied of belooft, en een voorspelling doet zonder bewijs.

going to vorm gebruik je voor een intentie en een voorspelling met bewijs.​
