The wellbeing of children and their families is framed by and through legislation and policy. The Graduate Professional needs to be aware of International and National legislation and analyse the implications for this for pedagogical practice. This requires reflective thought and leading, modelling and evaluating practice with and for young children identifying how working from a social justice perspective the needs of all children are meet.

Toward an idea of a sociable child,
able to encounter and compare ideas
together with other children
to construct new points of view and knowledge.

artisan of his own experience
and his own knowledge
alongside and together with the adult.

who learns to know and understand
not because she gives up but because she never stops
being open to the sense of wonder and amazement.

who rejects having an identity
