4th grade Reading mini lesson- Making inferences

​ Mystery Bag Game

-I will be passing out brown mystery bags and group you into groups of 2-3 people

​-​You will pull out your item when I say "go" and then you and your partners will discuss whose shoe you think this belongs to and why.

-One partner will be recording the answers by writing down who the shoe belongs to and why next to it. Then we will shar out at the end.

Making an inference means looking at clues in the text and using your background knowledge to make an educated guess about the character or text.
