​A competency is the ability to apply or use knowledge, skills, and values to efficiently perform a task or action for purposes in different settings.

Knowledge is the understanding of concepts, theories and principles of essential learning areas.

​Values བརྩི་མཐོང་།

​

Values are  the belief or the principles of life that influence the individual thoughts, speech and behaviors, and actions as a result of learning.

​Skill རིག་རྩལ

​

Skill is the ability to perform an activity or task using the knowledge gained. It includes physical movement, coordination, dexterity, and the application of knowledge.

Ability to perform tasks or action efficiently for a purpose.

​Behaviour competency བསམ་སྤྱོད་ཀྱི་ལྕོགས་གྲུབ།

Ability to use knowledge, skills and values acquired to transform personal life and society.

Example: Converse with others showing respect and sensitivity using the conventions of speech.​
