Open Ended

The basic rule is add -ing to the verbs that ends with a consonant, like

read = reading

think = thinking

write the gerund of the next verbs: happen, shout, sing, speak.

When it ends with a muted -e, delete it and add -ing

when it ends with a -e and it sounds, just add -ing

write (escribir) = writing // love (amar) = loving

be (ser y estar) = being // see (ver) = seeing

Open Ended

When a verb ends with a vowel. add -ing if the vowel is o.
