Language Features of Cause & Effect

Using Pre-Determiner​

​Let's move to

SO .. THAT vs SUCH .. THAT

​We use these two to express cause & effect.

• They have a same meaning, but have differences in the use.

• They are used to explain a result or an opinion about something.

• They are used to express both the effect and the result of situations in a sentence.

Cause : The weather was nice

Effect : We wanted to go to the beach​

​

​

​Because the weather was nice, we wanted to go to the beach.​

The weather was so nice that we went to the beach.

It was such nice weather that we went to the beach.​
