An analogy is a way of explaining or describing something by pointing out a feature it has in common with something else.
When you make a distinction, you are showing the differences between two or more things.
You can analyze a comparison by examining the relationships between things.

I can see that where he went to prep school seems to be a big influence on his Facebook idea.
A comparison was made that Zuckerberg decided to spread his Facebook outside of Harvard to other schools which is slightly different from what happened at his prep school.

So by using the strategies of highlighting, looking for comparisons and asking myself questions. I can trace the connections of Zuckerberg's prep school with his Facebook idea.
