Analyze how a text makes connections among and distinctions between individuals, ideas, or events (e.g.,through comparisons, analogies, or categories).

What is being compared and what does this comparison help you understand?

​An analogy might describe the working of the circulatory system by comparing it to the interstate highway system using various features of each to extend the comparison

​For example, veins and arteries could be compared to opposing lanes.

​When you want to find the connections within a text you need to keep track of your own comprehension.

​I can see that where he went to prep school seems to be a big influence on his Facebook idea.

A comparison was made ​that Zuckerberg decided to spread his Facebook outside of Harvard to other schools which is slightly different from what happened at his prep school.

​So by using the strategies of highlighting, looking for comparisons and asking myself questions. I can trace the connections of Zuckerberg's prep school with his Facebook idea.
