Hamda is 40 years old and has been experiencing pain in her hands and hips.
She has noticed that her hands are swollen and she is finding it hard to get out of bed in the morning as she is stiff.

Sultan is 45 years old and does no exercise.
He doesn't like milk and avoids the sun.
Recently, he has been having back pain and he broke his arm falling over.

It is a chronic disease which develops slowly.
The bones become weak and porous and can break easily
It affects people who do not exercise and have low levels of calcium and vitamin D in their body.
Affects women more than men!

The cartilage breaks down which leaves the bone grinding against the other bone.
These are the two most common types: Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid
Affects women more than men!
