​Steps:

Remember to identify the pieces of the sentence:

  1. Verb/action first - there can be two verbs - use both when answering.

  2. Direct Object - the WHAT of the verb

  3. Indirect Object - the WHO of the verb - receives the action

Then answer in the yo form - check the Pretérito chart on the board for endings​

Next think of what pronouns to use:

Direct - me, te, lo/la, nos, os, los/las (Don´t DOP baby LOLA)

Indirect - me, te, le, nos, os, les

Remeber that LE changes to SE when used with lo, la, los, or las

  • We don´t want two L pronouns together​

Indirect object possession:

When you see - para tu mamá...

Remember that this is not for you, it is for YOUR MOM. So that is he or she and should not have a TE pronoun.

You will use SE for any possessive person, your friend (tu amigo), your teacher (tu maestro) - all will use SE when using double pronouns.

Pronoun Placement:

  1. BOTH pronouns must stay together, do not separate them

  2. Indirect goes first (RID = Reflexive, indirect, direct)

  3. Put them to the left of the verb, or at the end of the infinitive or present participle (ando, iendo, yendo)​

Putting pronouns at the end

  1. Pronouns at the end of an infinitive must have an accent on the vowel before the R

    1. Puedes dármelo b. Necesito entregársela

  2. Pronouns at the end of a present participle have the accent on the A or E​

    1. Estoy haciéndotelo​ b. Estás comprándomelo
