​Present Continuous - upotreba

Za radnje koje se odvijaju ovog trenutka, u periodu oko ovog trenutka, ili malo u budućnosti. Radi se o privremenoj radnji koja je jedinstvena i koja se neće ponoviti. ​

​At the moment I am working on an important project. 

I’m sitting in my office now. 

A: What are you doing?  B: I’m watching a film on TV. 

She is reading a very interesting book.

We're going to the cinema tonight.​

​Posebna pravila pisanja

1) jednosložni glagoli koji završavaju na suglasnik-samoglasnik-suglasnik, udvostručuju zadnji suglasnik:

run - running; swim - swimming; stop - stopping​

2) glagoli koji završavaju na E gube ga i dodaju ing​

take - taking; arrive - arriving​

​

3) glagoli die / lie / tie = dying / lying / tying
