​- Divisor: The number that goes on the outside of the problem

  • Dividend: The number o​n the inside that is getting divided

  • Quotient: The answer to a division problem

  • Remainder: What is left after all numbers have been divided​

​How to read a division problem

Your problems will be written like this: 415 ÷ 5

The 415 goes on the inside of the box and the 5 goes on the outside! ​

So the number written first in the problem ALWAYS goes on the outside of the box!!!​
