8th graders!!!!​

​Who am I?

​I am Mrs. Phillips. I live in Maryland,

on the eastern shore. I'm in Kent

county which is very rural. We have

lots of hunting, fishing, farming.

Many people work on the water

catching and selling crabs, oysters or

fish.

​

Our seasons are much like yours, and

because we have so much water, the

summer means MOSQUITOES!​

​I spent many years at the local high school teaching French and English.

​

I retired in June of 2019.

​

Covid came along!​

​Our local high school used online courses for certain situations.

​

I thought they might need help during the pandemic!

​

They did!!!! And that led to us being together now​

​We all live together in a big house in a multi-generational situation. Yeah it's a big house.

​

My son is a software engineer and product developer working from home for an international computer software company.

His office looks like NASA MIssion Control!​

​

My daughter in law is a department manager at a local nursing home.​

​

I have four grandchildren -- a granddaughter who is 22, a grandson who is 19, a grandson who is 14 and ​a granddaughter who is 11.

​My family is my heart, soul and world!

​Taffy the class dog

​Taffy is by my side always. She unwillingly allowed my granddaughter to take her picture last night while napping in her dog bed behind my desk.

​

You may hear her if someone even touches one of the doors of the house during our class.​ It will sound like she's getting ready for a zombie apocalypse!

I am sooo sorry!
