Le superlatif
the most = le/la/les plus -
the least = le/la/les moins
To say "the most" in French, you use le plus, la plus, and les plus. For example:
Ce magasin est le plus grand. - "This store is the biggest."
Cette station est la plus belle. - "This station is the most beautiful."
To say "the least" in French, you use le moins, la moins, and les moins. For example:
Ce magasin est le moins grand. - "This store is the smallest."
Cette station est la moins belle. - "This station is the least beautiful."
Note that when a noun and an adjective are in the same phrase, the structure for the superlative is as follows:
le/la/les + noun + le/la + superlative - The superlative of an adjective agrees in gender and number with the noun it goes with.
Ce sont les trottinettes les plus rapides.
