a table is not a living.tables don't eat or produce young tables! but if it did it would be very funny.and they also don't have eyes and years or any other ways of sensing the world around it.
3
but...
if a table is made out of wood, then it was once a part of a living tree.the table is a non living thing but the wood was once part of a living thing.
4
but...
if a table was made of stone, then it was once a part of a large rock.and rocks are not lining.they have no senses and cannot eat or reproduce.so a

how can you tell the difference between a plant and animal?
most animals move around, but most p-lants are rooted in one place.all animals eat plants or other animals, but plants have a way of making their own food.sunlight helps green plants to make food from water and a gas called carbon dioxide this process is called photosynthesis.
9
it's quite easy to tell that a lion is an animal and that a giant sequoia tree [ one of the largest living thing in the world] is a plant .
but....
what about coral?coral grows in the sea and looks like a pant.but is made up of millions of tiny animals and eats smaller swimming animals.
10
is mushroom a plant?
mushrooms and other fungi don't make food of their own food helped by sunlight.instead they feed of living and rotting plants.but they're not animals?so,some biologists say that fungi belong to a separate kingdom of their own.
11
there are other kinds of living things that are different from plants and animals.most of them are so small that you cannot see them without a microscope.they are divided into two more kingdoms.one is made up of creatures called protoists ,which include the amoebas .the other kingdom is made up of tiny creatures called monera , which are mostly bacteria.
