​We use it for:

Present simple with I, you, we, they​

​Things that are always true.

​Routine and habits.

​Use contractions in speaking and informal writing

​E.g. I eat vegetables in the afternoon.

​E.g. I run on Mondays and Tuesdays.

​E.g. you don't drink soda

​QUESTIONS IN THE PRESENT SIMPLE

With yes/ no questions:​

Questions in the present simple

Structure: A - S - I ?

A = auxiliary verb

S = subject

I = infinitive verb ​

With "WH"questions:​

Structure: QU - A - S - I ?

​QU = question word

A = auxiliary verb

S = subject

I = infinitive verb ​

E.g. Do you work?​

E.g. Do I study here?​

E.g. Where do you work?​
