  1. Asked them what they swallowed

  2. Don't give them anything to drink or eat.

  3. If they have been splashed with poison on their hand or skin, wash it under water.

  4. Don't touch the poison whilst helping.​

  5. Stay with the person.

If the person is conscious:

  1. Try and work out what they swallowed

  2. Don't put your hands in their mouth

  3. Don't try and make them vomit

  4. Put them in the recovery position.

  5. If they stop breathing, give the​m CPR
