A poison is anything that someone swallows, breathes in, gets into their eyes, or gets on the skin that can cause sickness or death.

2. What should you do if you think someone has been poisoned?

2. A chemical smell on the breath

3. Vomiting

4. Difficulty breathing

5. Drowsiness

​Signs and Symptoms of poisoning

1. Asked them what they swallowed

2. Don't give them anything to drink or eat.

3. If they have been splashed with poison on their hand or skin, wash it under water.

4. Don't touch the poison whilst helping.​

5. Stay with the person.

​If the person is conscious:

1. Try and work out what they swallowed

2. Don't put your hands in their mouth

3. Don't try and make them vomit

4. Put them in the recovery position.

5. If they stop breathing, give the​m CPR
