When it comes to types of punctuation, how many can you name?

​Besides periods, commas may be the most common punctuation. They're used for a pause rather than a hard stop like a period, and they create clarity.

​Colons communicate the idea of "that is to say" or "here's what I mean.

​Work similarly to a comma, but the pause is slightly longer, though slightly less than a period.

​​Semi-Colons

​1) Men, women, and children are all part of the human population.

​Remember: commas indicate a pause and help create clarity.
