Main Activity.

Gases are all around us, for example air.

Gases are also in fizzy drinks and inside bicycle and car tyres.

We do not always know that gases are there because we can not see most gases.

These gases are invisible.

We also cant smell or taste many gases around us.

Main Activity.

Make a gas.

Resources:

Vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, a jar with a wide mouth, a spoon.

Main Activity.

When we mix some materials, they react to make a gas. You are going to make carbon dioxide gas.

Procedure.

Pour some vinegar into the jar.

Put a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda into the jar.

Observe what happens.
