​In many words, you see two vowels together.

​Examples:

​2. sleep

​We call these "vowel" teams or "vv" teams.

​VV Team Rule

​The first vowel is long (meaning it says its name).

​The second vowel is silent (meaning you don't hear it).

​Example:
