When multiplying decimals the order of numbers does not matter. This is called Communicative Property of Multiplication.

Multiplying Decimals - Step 1

Line up the numbers. TIP- Longer number on top, smaller on bottom.

Step 2- Multiply

Multiply the numbers without worrying abut the decimal, just yet.

Step 3- Place the decimal in the correct place.

The decimal in your answer should have the same amount of numbers as in the questions.
