​DEFINITION

​Report Text yaitu sebuah text yang menggambarkan informasi secara umum dan apa adanya. Artinya gambaran itu tidak subyektif berdasarkan opini penulis. text ini memang memiliki kesamaan dengan Descriptive text, yaitu sama-sama menggambarkan. Bedanya kalau Descriptive Text menggambarkan sesuatu yang khusus dan specifik (yang digambarkan hanya ada satu) berdasarkan opini penulis yang subjektif, sedangkan Report Text menggambarkan sesuatu secara umum tidak berdasarkan opini, melainkan berdasarkan observasi ilmiah.

1. Introducing group or general aspect (Memperkenalkan aspek kelompok atau umum)

2. Using conditional logical connection; when, so, etc (Menggunakan koneksi logis bersyarat; kapan, jadi, dll)

3. Using simple present tense (verb 1)
