Measurement of how long something is end to end.
Common customary units used in the United States to measure length are inches, feet, yards , and miles.
You will need to be able to estimate the length of an object and determine which measurement unit is best.

A foot is 12 inches, or about the length from your elbow to to wrist.
A yard is 3 feet or about the height of your desk.
A mile is 5,280 feet or about how far you can walk in 15 minutes
