graduation requirements for the
following assessments may be
eligible test:
• FSA Grade 10 ELA
• FSA Algebra 1 EOC
• This is a Paper Based Assessment
(PBT).

The Testing Manuals
• The Standard Testing
Manual (STM) is for proctors
(test administrators) to
administer the SAT School
Day test
• The Accommodated Testing
Manual (ATM) is for test
administrators who will
administer the SAT School
Day test to students who will
test with accommodations.

About the SAT
Consists of 4 sections:
• Section 1: Reading
• Section 2: Writing and Language
• Section 3: Math No Calculator
• Section 4: Math Calculator
• Students must be given the correct
amount of time for each test.
• Testing takes approximately 4
hours.
• Students will take each section of
the exam, no matter which
concordant score he/she may
need.

Seating Chart
• Proctors must create accurate
seating charts for their testing room and
include the serial number of the test
booklet assigned to that seat and the
students name or initials.
• Students should not be permitted to
choose their own seats.
• Seating should be arranged randomly, not
alphabetically.
• You may use the seating chart template
(pg. 44 STM and pg. 92 of ATM- make
copies).

Proctor – Test Day
• Bin pick up will begin at 6:15 AM
• Count all testing materials when
you receive them, when you
distribute them to the students,
and when testing is complete.
• Do not dismiss students until
all materials have been accounted for.
• Make sure testing information is
displayed on the board
• Allow 1 student to enter at a time
into the testing room.
• Write “P” for present next to the
student as you verify the students
identify.
• Write an “A” next to students who
are absent.
• Collect electronic devices and
book bags

Proctor – Test Day
• Do not leave test materials unattended.
• Accurately monitor test times for each
section.
• Record start and stop times.
• Students must be given the entire time
for each section and cannot move on
until time is called.
• Walk around the room regularly to
ensure students are working in the
correct section.
• Monitor students during breaks
• Ensure students aren’t accessing
their cell phones during testing or
breaks.
• Ensure calculators are used only
during Section 4: Math Calculator
portion of the SAT.
• While students are testing, write
serial numbers on seating chart
(part B of the form) –pg. 44 STM
• After testing, record serial numbers
of the test books (part A of the
form) – pg. 43 STM.

Proctor – During Testing

known irregularities experienced during the
event.

Proctor - After Testing

Proctor - After Testing
Collect an answer sheet (and Student Answer Sheet Instructions booklet, if
applicable) from each student— students should have their answer sheets placed
face-up on their desks.
• Make sure students have completed fields 1–9 on the front page of the
answer sheet.
• If there is a discrepancy, ask the student to show ID and explain the
discrepancy. If you suspect impersonation, notify the test coordinator
immediately. Note the student’s name and document this on an IR.
• Flip the answer sheet over to make sure they completed the Form Code and
other fields from the Complete on Test Day section, fields A–D.
• These fields must be completed for a student’s answer sheet to be scored.
Students may not be dismissed from the testing room until all materials
have been collected and accounted for.
