Comparing more than two things.
When we use superlatives we compare more than two things and identify the most extreme - the tallest, the fastest, the most interesting.

Comparing more than two things.
Superlatives follow similar rules to adjectives:
All superlatives have the word "the" before the adjective.
All adjectives with three or more syllables use the most / the least.
Adjectives with two syllables that end in "~y" use "~est".
Other adjectives with two syllables use the most / the least.
Adjectives with one syllable use "~est" If the adjective is consonant - vowel - consonant, double the second consonant.
